"Direct from farm" and "lab-tested" are phrases used loosely across the spice industry, often without much behind them. Here's what those phrases actually mean in AGRREEN's process, end to end.
Sourcing from known farm clusters
Rather than buying from open commodity markets where origin is mixed and untraceable, AGRREEN sources from specific farm clusters known for a particular crop and region — Lakadong turmeric from Meghalaya's Jaintia Hills is one clear example. This matters because, as covered in our GI tag article, growing region measurably affects a spice's core quality, particularly for turmeric's curcumin content.
Cleaning, drying, and grinding — tracked per batch
Once sourced, each batch goes through cleaning to remove foreign material, controlled drying, and grinding, with the batch tracked as a unit through this process rather than blended anonymously with other stock. This is what makes it possible to trace a specific pack back to a specific processing run if a quality question ever comes up.
Lab-checked quality parameters before packaging
Before any batch is packaged for sale, it goes through quality checks for parameters relevant to that spice — curcumin content for turmeric being the most concrete, measurable example. This is not a one-time supplier certification reused indefinitely; it's checked per batch, because natural variation between harvests means a supplier's quality can genuinely shift over time even if nothing else about the sourcing changes.
Why we publish the actual numbers
Where a lab-tested figure exists — like curcumin percentage — it's listed on the product page itself rather than kept as an internal quality-control number. The reasoning is simple: a specific, checkable number is a stronger claim than a general one, and it's the same standard we'd want to see as a buyer.
Sealed fresh, shipped pan-India
After packaging, products are shipped directly to the customer from our Jaipur and Delhi bases — pan-India, tracked till delivery — rather than sitting in long third-party distribution chains where shelf life quietly erodes before it ever reaches a kitchen.
